Understanding Islam – Saturdays

Build upon your foundations by diving deeper into the Islamic sciences and strengthening your understanding of Islamic discourse. Nourish an appreciation for the Islamic tradition with a focused look at a variety of subjects (Year 2):

- Fiqh (2 periods)
- Tarbiyah
- Usool Al-Fiqh

The course covers ten core subjects of the Islamic sciences over three years and is designed to equip the student with the knowledge required to live a meaningful and productive life as a Muslim in submission to God and service to humanity. Students will also develop an appreciation for, and a connection to the Islamic tradition through sound chains of scholarship that are traced back to the Prophet peace be upon him.

• Course Duration: 3 years (currently year 2)
• Term Duration: 10 weeks
• Fees: $30 per week (course fees are non-refundable)
